LUMBERJACKS SIGN GOALIE SICILIANO

Spooner, WI – May 6, 2019

The Wisconsin Lumberjacks, members of the Superior International Junior Hockey League, announced today that they have signed goalie Michael Siciliano for the 2019-20 season. Siciliano, 16, originally from Staten Island, NY now lives in Chicago, IL.

“We are happy that Siciliano is joining the Lumberjacks organization to further pursue his development,” said Lumberjacks Head Coach Doug Lein.

When asked about his hockey development, Siciliano noted that, “continuing his growth and development in working towards an opportunity to play in college was a personal priority.”

“I wanted to play with an organization that has a focus on school and player development,” said Siciliano. “I think the SIJHL is a terrific league that provides good opportunities to go to college.”

Siciliano was able to visit Spooner, WI and the Lumberjacks organization and is already looking ahead to September and getting the season started.

“I really liked Spooner,” Siciliano said. “I think it’s a good organization with good coaches.”
