Spooner, WI – May 7, 2019

The Wisconsin Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the signing of a former Superior international League All-Star player for the 2019-20 season. Delafield, WI product Lukas Lundgren has signed with the Lumberjacks today as the team continues their inaugural roster build.

Lundgren (Delafield, WI, 1999-born forward, 6’1”, 175 lbs.) is coming off a solid season which saw him split time between the SIJHL and the WSHL where he was named an SIJHL All-Star. The 18-19 season saw Lundgren record 26 points in 53 games in his first year of juniors. Lukas recorded 23 points in 25 games during his senior season with KM/Mukwonago High. Lundgren is the 2nd player signing to make headlines with the Lumberjacks in as many days.

Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Garrett Hendrickson is excited to put his finger print on the foundation of the club only one week after joining the staff. Hendrickson had this to say about Lundgren, “We are thrilled to officially have Lukas as a part of the team. Coach Lein talked to me about Lundgren when I first joined the team. We sat down and watched film and talked about signing him. I feel he is a guy that comes in and thrives in our system.”
