LUMBERJACKS SIGN EAGLE RIVER FORWARD, TYLER HUNT

Spooner, WI- August 7, 2019– The Wisconsin Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the signing of 2000 born forward Tyler Hunt.

The 6’0” 190lb. Eagle River, Wisconsin native joins the Lumberjacks by way of the Northland Pines High School Eagles. Last season with the Eagles, Hunt tallied 16 goals and 20 assists for 36 points in 22 games played. Hunt finished his high school career as a 4 year varsity letter winner dressing for 88 total games all while putting up 58 goals with 53 assists for a total of 111 points.

Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Garrett Hendrickson says that he feels Hunt will have a big impact on the Lumberjacks roster this season.

“He’s a high IQ forward, he plays with a nose for the net and brings in a playmakers mentality. He’s a mid-sized forward, likes to play physical and will help us exploit the better defenseman in the league.”

When contacted about his signing, hunt had this to say, “I am excited to get settled in Spooner and get on the grind. I hope to not only work on my individual skills, but to make my teammates better and win games this season. I am excited to sign with the Lumberjacks because they have given me an opportunity to reach my goals and pursue my hockey career. This year gives me a solid opportunity for exposure to get looks from teams at the next level.”
