Spooner, Wisconsin (July 27th, 2019) – The Wisconsin Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the signing of forward Ryan Green for the 2019-2020 season. The Huntington Beach, CA product spent the last five seasons playing AAA hockey in the Anaheim JR. Ducks Developmental program.
Lumberjacks Assistant Coach Cole Jackson had this to say about the signing, “Green brings to the table exactly what we were looking for to fill a specific role with our club, more importantly he’s a high character person who will fit well into our team-first framework and the Spooner community. Coach Hendrickson and I spent a bit of time scouting and doing our due diligence on Green. Our California scout gave us the green light and thumbs up on him and we believe he will fit well with the culture we are building here.”
“Committing to the Lumberjacks was a big decision for myself and my family on where I wanted to start my junior career. This opportunity with the Lumberjacks will allow me to grow and develop as a hockey player and will ultimately help me take that next step in my career. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and getting to work with the coaching staff. I’ve heard the Spooner hockey fans are a great fan base and really get behind the junior hockey. I’m ready to get settled and get to work. I think we will have a strong competitive, positive attitude surrounding our club and I know this is going to be a special season,” commented Green.
