WISCONSIN LUMBERJACKS ADD VETERAN FORWARD NICK SOLEMA

Spooner, Wisconsin (July 31, 2019) – The Wisconsin Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the signing of forward Nick Solema.

Lumberjacks GM and Head Coach Douglas Lein has been scouring the country looking for some high-powered weapons for the 2019-20 season. He looks to have found one in a 19-year-old from Ohio.

Solema of Wintersville, OH is coming off an outstanding season with Mid Cities Stars of the NA3HL.

“Solema posted 46 points in 47 games last year. If you find a way to contribute each and every night, and show up on the sheet in a positive way, you are doing good things. Nick has great hockey sense and the ability to make something out of nothing. He’s lightning quick and creative as well. A high character kid who will fit perfectly into the brand of hockey we will be playing here,” added Lein.

Solema is well aware he’s coming to an offensive minded team and knows what is going to be expected of him in terms of not only productivity but more importantly, development.

“I chose the Lumberjacks because I think their style of play suits my game. I believe this next season will be one of the most important in terms of my development. With that being said, I felt like the coaching staff and what the facility has to offer were the real deciding factors in choosing to play in Spooner. The staff has worked hard to put together a great group of guys that I think are all out to prove something,” said the 5’11”, 170-pound Solema.

The Lumberjacks continue to add the final pieces to their inaugural roster and with the addition of Solema we now see the roster swell to 16 players committed and signed.
