LOUIS COMMITS TO LUMBERJACKS

Spooner, WI. — The Wisconsin Lumberjacks, preparing for their first season as members of the Superior International Junior Hockey League, are pleased to announce the signing of Brian Louis to the team.

Louis, from St. Charles, IL, USA, is a 2001, 6’0” and 175lb right-handed forward. Louis played for Detroit’s Little Caesars Tier 1 Elite under 18 AAA team, as well as playing 10 games with the New Ulm Steel in the NA3HL during the 2018-19 season. Spending his 2017-18 season on Shattuck St. Mary’s Midget AAA team.

Wisconsin Lumberjacks Head Coach/General Manager Doug Lein said of Louis: “Brian is a young, skilled, power forward that we are extremely excited about. Brian has tons of upside and potential with a strong work ethic and high hockey IQ. We expect Brian to contribute in all facets of our game plan.”

On the prospect of joining the Lumberjacks, Louis said “I can’t wait to get to training camp and open the season. I think we can make a strong debut in the SIJHL this year. I look forward to learning from the veteran players as I make the full time transition to junior hockey.”
